24"x24" Acrylic on canvas. During the self isolation imposed by Covid-19, I found myself painting animals and farms while the world was speculating if the virus was zoonotic in origin. I placed the sheep in a circular arrangement to represent the world as we re-examine food chains, farming practices and the disturbances we humans have on the planet and nature. This painting references Salt Spring Island sheep that I photographed prior to the Covid pandemic during one of my many visits there.
Accepted to the juried competition ARTS 2020 online only due to Covid.
