Accepted by the Federation of Canadian Artists into the Scenes of Western Canada show, 2020. With the onset of Covid 19 and the slowdown that followed, the population started to go outside and spend more time in nature. The continuing cycles of growth and change exemplified by nature offered us some hope when the rest of the world was standing still. This is a painting is a garden by Crescent Beach, Surrey close to where I live and can often be found painting plein air enjoying the blessings the garden has to offer.
Community gardens need to be fostered and promoted in ours communities as they offer food security, affordable produce, a healthy environment, give a sense of community, and increase health/activity.
