14’’x18’’ Acrylic on canvas. Painted plein air for the art competition Grand Prix of Art 2020. This was a Covid socially distance event and artist were required "to paint in place“ rather then conjugate down in Steveston, Richmond like we normally do. I chose to paint in the Dunsmuir Gardens by my home and it was a beautiful peaceful day. A pleasant escape from the worries of the concurrent Covid lockdown. #grandprixofart2020.
Community gardens need to be fostered and promoted in ours communities as they offer food security, affordable produce, a healthy environment, give a sense of community, and increase health/activity.
